Rachel Rodriguez’s Spanish classes participate in ‘Secret Santa’, Dec. 8.
Every day students bring a note written in Spanish or a gift for their ‘Secret Santa’ the last two weeks of school before Christmas break.
Some presents brought were gift cards, candy, and food.
Spanish III student and Worship leader, Tyler Villines enjoys singing Chrsitmas songs in chapel and participating in Christmas activities during school.
“It’s so much fun! It gives us an opportunity to mix up the flow of class, while also using what we’ve learned by making notes worded only in Spanish,” Villines said. “It gives us something to smile and be festive about, even though this time of year can be stressful and busy! Our school does an amazing job of doing fun festive things during the holidays! And you can never go wrong with a class holiday feast!”
Next week Spanish I, II and III classes will celebrate Christmas and end of the semester with a Fiesta and a gift from their ‘Secret Santa’.
Other classes such as home economics, recognize the holiday season with ‘White Elephant’ gifts, learning how to wrap presents and baking ginger bread cookies.
