S.T.E.M. club, a club that focuses on science, technology, engineering, and math, plans to focus on the biology element of science. Club leader Joey Huang, ’18, shares her ambitions for this semester.
“S.T.E.M. club will be introducing molecular biology laboratories, while continuing the exploration of mechanics such as Arduino and other electronics.”
The club plans to also branch out to engage in experiments that involve microscopes, specifically genetic observations with bacteria.
In addition to these things, Huang hopes to incorporate at least one field trip before the end of the semester, and encourages other members to voice their opinions.
“It’s the members’ club too, so if they have any special interests, we will take their proposals and try to incorporate those into our activities.”
The S.T.E.M. club meets every Wednesday after school till around 4:30 p.m. If any students are interested, they are encouraged to contact Joey Huang, or drop by on any meeting.
