The FC varsity girls soccer team defeats Riverdale, 4-3, in the CIF Central Section Division VI semi-final playoff game, Feb. 20.
After a rough 2016-17 season with only 3 wins and 6 losses in league, the team comes back with revenge as they advance to the final round of playoffs.
Four year varsity player and captain on the team, Lauryn Tucker was thrilled as they defeated Riverdale.
“It was definitely a tough game,” Tucker said. “They challenged us and we had to come back together and remember who we are and how we play. Once we did that, we secured the game and gained back our confidence.”
The team will play Rosamond, Feb. 23 on the FC field for the CIF Central Section Division VI Championships.
