[/media-credit] Trip Batliner, ’18, enjoys WWII history and meeting new friends.

The class of 2018 closes their high school career as they look forward to their future beyond FC. Before graduation, The Feather choose seniors to spotlight every week to get to know them a little better. This is the 2018 senior spotlight of Trip Batliner.

How long have you attended FCS?

I attended FCS for fourth, fifth and seventh grade and came back to finish my 2nd semester as a senior.”

What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time?

I like to write on my free time, hang with friends, and look up random facts on the internet. I am a history buff (with WWII history).”

What’s your plan after you graduate?

I plan on doing a year at Clovis Community College and then going to CBU for a major in theology and minor in communications.”

What has been your favorite thing about high school?

I really love meeting people and making friends. I enjoy having the opportunity to learn in a classroom rather than online.”

What advice would give students about high school that you wish you knew?

I would give students the advice to not conform to the world. Stand firm in what you believe and know God loves you the way you are.”

A fun fact about Batliner is that he enjoys wearing his grandpa’s bowler hats, took flying lessons at age ten and knows a lot about WWII aircraft history.

Mark your calendar for senior graduation! The ceremony starts at 7 p.m. at Peoples Church auditorium, May 24.
