As the second semester continues, recently finished student-produced movie spoofs of popular films premiered during Night of the Stars (NOTS), April 6 at Wolf Lakes. NOTS is an annual tradition celebrated at Fresno Christian’s formal since the 1990-91 school year.
During this week, the 2018 NOTS movies are being published on The Feather Online. This year the freshmen remade ‘Nacho Libre’; sophomores, ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’; juniors, ‘McFarland’; and seniors, ‘Senior Trap’, a spin-off of ‘Parent Trap.’ The movies debuted at #FCNOTS, April 6.
The freshman class recreates the popular 2006 film, Nacho Libre, starring Jack Black as Nacho. The class put together a 2018 NOTS spoof called by the same name.
The campus version of Nacho Libre’s main characters include: Albert Ramirez as Nacho, Seth Yancy as Steven and Faith Monroy as Sister Encarnacion. The skit was directed by Bryce Foshee, script written by Alyssa Reese and filmed/edited by Kaden Friesen.
“I think the movie turned out good but there was definitely room for improvements,” Friesen said. “It was fun to put together though, I had a good time and I look forward to next years movie.”
While Ramirez shared his favorite scene, please leave a comment adding your memorable NOTS movie moments.
“I loved being a part of it, it was a little bit disorganized but I enjoyed it,” Ramirez said. “My favorite scene to film was either the scooter scene or the toast scene.”
