Older sister Kensy Neal, ’18, (middle) and younger sisters Izzy Hutcheson, ’22, (left) and Ashley Logan, ’22, celebrate the end of the year with a lunch celebration, May 16. Sister to Sister gathers for the last time of the 2017-18 school year.
A Bobby Salazar’s lunch is provided for the group. The girls reminisce over the year while enjoying quesadillas, burritos and taquitos.
Senior McKensy Neal shares some of her favorite moments and what this year was like as a second year member of Sister to Sister.
“My whole experience this year was truly incredible,” Neal said. “Last year it was a little bit rocky because it was my fist year and I hardly knew what I was doing. This year though, I have gotten to really know my girls and have spent the entire year mentoring them and just having fun. My favorite memory from this year was probably the time spent with my girls. I got to know them on a deeper level than I would have had I not done this.”
Neal encourages other girls to take this opportunity because it opens new doors, offering the chance to build a relationship with underclassmen.
