Former kindergarten teacher, Amy Witters, speaks in FC chapel to announce Operation Christmas Child drive, Oct. 16. With Christmas season approaching, FC partakes in filling boxes with useful supplies to send out to children around the world.
Fresno Christian partners with Samaritans Purse to provide shoe boxes to children all over the world who are in need. Students have until Nov. 9 to bring shoeboxes to school. This year’s goal is to get over 500 boxes again with last year’s total of 501 boxes donated.
Each high school grade level will have the next two weeks to bring in as many boxes as possible. The classes can turn in their shoeboxes into room 608.
Shoebox items may include, toys, personal care items, clothing and accessories, or even a personal note! For many, this is the only Christmas gift they will receive.
Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, celebrates its 25th year as they have delivered 157 million shoeboxes to boys and girls around the world.
Be sure to participate in this awesome organization that helps many children around the world.
