The varsity girls volleyball team celebrates and acknowledges seniors on the team, Oct. 18.
Seniors were given flowers and joined on the court by family members who were recognized alongside their player. Senior volleyball players are Kaylie Clem, Julia Fiske, Sophia Kalugin, Kamryn Schultz and Annaleise Anderson.
Schultz has been playing volleyball since fifth grade and has been on varsity all four years of high school.
Schultz shares why she loves volleyball.
“My favorite part of volleyball is getting to be apart of an amazing group of girls and compete in a sport we all love,” Schultz said. “I’ve absolutely loved these past four years with my seniors and I’m super excited to finish out this season with them.”
Schultz also shares the best memory from the past years of volleyball.
“My favorite memory of playing volleyball was when coach Katie Reneau surprised us by taking us to a Fresno State volleyball game.”
Anderson shares what she enjoyed about the season so far.
“This is my first year on a volleyball team,” Anderson said. “I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to practice and play alongside such experienced and dedicated players. It has given me the ability to pick up on volleyball quickly and I’ve loved spending time with all these girls!”
