Seniors wake up early and attend a 7 a.m. breakfast together in the SMC for ‘Senior Sunrise’, Nov. 2. Parents prepare a meal and set out fall decorations for students to enjoy and bond before school.
Egg casserole, muffins, fruit, juice and coffee provide a moment for students to connect over breakfast.
Senior sunrise serves as another event to bond the class together before graduation. This is the second event for the senior class after the senior retreat to Hume Lake Christian Camps.
Senior Macie Thompson shares her favorite part about senior sunrise and the chance for the class to spend time together and talk to different people other than her immediate friends.
“I enjoyed Senior Sunrise!” Thompson said. “It was so cool how everyone bonded and just had an over all great time. Also, the food was super super good! I loved that people who don’t usually get to talk, talked and got to hang out together.”
She also expresses excitement for upcoming senior events including the next senior sunrise and sport events.
“It caused us to branch out to more than just our select friends in our class,” Thompson continued. “A few of the events that I’m excited about this year are basketball’s senior night, the spring Senior Sunrise, and also all of the rallies that are coming up! I can’t wait to see what God has in hold for everyone this year and I am excited to see how much everyone is going to grow!”
Out of 43 students that make up the senior class, a total of 28 came to the breakfast.
