Fresno Christian varsity football defeats Orcutt Academy, 53-34, Nov. 9, and advances to the finals of the CIF Les Schwab Central Section playoffs against Mission Prep, Nov. 16.
The theme of the night being, ‘Frosted FC football’, students show their school spirit while wearing winter clothing as snow falls down on them.
Late in the first quarter, senior captain Anthony Lonardo runs in an 18-yard touchdown. Shortly after, Junior Blake Burdan scores an 8-yard touchdown.
The Eagles continue their scoring, finishing the half with a 26-20 lead.
To begin the second half of the game, Lonardo scores another 2-yard touchdown, his third of the game.
Senior Aaron LaCroix scores Fresno Christian’s last 7-yard touchdown to end the game with an Eagle victory, 53-34, over the Spartans.
With this victory, the No. 2 Eagles progress to the CIF Central Section Les Schwab (8-Man) Valley Championships. FC will travel to No. 1 Mission Prep, Nov. 16. Be sure to head out to support your Eagles.
