FC music director Susan Ainley hosts the fourth annual Valentines concert ‘Fly me to the moon’ in the Student Ministries Center, Feb. 9.
This concert is a celebration of love in honor of the upcoming holiday Valentines Day. The night includes music ranging from songs of loss to songs of hope and love.
A total of 13 soloists and three duets perform in this year’s concert. The performers were Landon Goldsborough, ‘19, Thy Pham, ‘20, Brennen Tozlian, ‘21, Aimee Castaneda, ‘21, Hayden Trevino, ‘22, Maddy Tatham, ‘22, Nicole Wagoner, ‘20, Amanda Grimmius, ‘19, Macie Thompson, ‘19, David Tuck, ‘22, Angelica Escalera, ‘19, and Kamryn Schultz ‘19. Duets were sung by Lindsay Weimer, ‘20, Wesley Hinton, ‘20, Macie Thompson, ‘19, Landon Goldsborough, ‘19, Amanda Grimmius, ‘19, and Andrew Moore, ‘21.
First time singing in the concert, Moore shares his favorite part of the event.
“My all-time favorite part of this year’s concert was the opening song ‘Fly me to the moon’,” Moore said. “I loved being able to sing in the concert this year and I would love to do it again next year! In addition to adding to my experience, this concert allowed me to learn and become better at singing.”
