Arvin High School defeats Fresno Christian varsity girls soccer, 4-2, in the Central Section CIF D-VI Valley championships in overtime, Feb. 22.
The game proceeded into overtime with the two teams tied, 1-1. Bekah Micu, ’20, scored both Eagle goals. Earlier, the Bears tied the score with 30 seconds left in the second half to send the game into overtime.
Micu has played soccer with FCS for three years and loves the opportunity soccer gives her to spend time with her friends.
“My favorite part about playing soccer this year was watching my team grow,” Micu said. “In addition, I have loved watching them overcome injuries and setbacks and come together as a team. Finally, I’m looking forward to playing my final season of high school soccer with my friends. Hopefully, we can pick up right where we left off this season.”
This game concluded The Lady Eagle’s season leaving them with an overall record of, 18-6.
