FC boys baseball defeats Corcoran, 18-4, at their home game, Feb. 28. Led by head coach Noah Heinz, the team is currently, 4-0, in their pre season. Varsity baseball currently has 18 high school players, eight of those being seniors.
Senior Griffin Schmidt has played four years on the varsity team and has high hopes the upcoming season.
“I am expecting our team do have a great season,” Schmidt said. “Hopefully we end up winning valleys but we just need to make sure we take it one game at a time. We continue to overcome challenges as a team and always rely on one another to pick each other up. I love being able to play the sport I love alongside some of my best friends in high school and being able to step into a leadership position on the team this year.”
