Fresno Christian varsity softball defeats Immanuel High School, 6-4, in their first home game of the season, Feb. 28. Today’s victory brought the Lady Eagle’s overall record up to, 2-0.
Under the direction of head coach David Davila, the 11 man team strives towards earning their place in the playoffs.
Junior Kayla Vanderlinden loves playing and being a part of this team as it gives her the opportunity to improve in her softball skills.
“I think we did very good in today’s game,” Vanderlinden said. “There’s little mistakes we all make but we can only get better from here. Also, I’m very excited to see how much we grow as a team this year. We have an amazing team and I think we can go really far this season. I have played softball for my whole childhood and joining this team was a great opportunity to take the sport up again.”
The Lady Eagle’s next game will be away against San Joaquin Memorial High School, March 1. Head out to cheer your FC varsity softball team on!
