Angelica Escalera, ’19, (pictured left) and Deborah Ingerson, ’20, (pictured right) participate in the ‘Formal Dress Show it and Share it’, March 6.
This event was created by a group of moms who noticed that the cost of Night of the Stars (N.O.T.S.) can be very expensive. Together they created an event that allows girls to get more than one use out of a dress. When the event first started, there were only 15 dresses for the students to choose from. This year with the cooperation of local business Dresses Worn Once, over 100 dresses were brought in.
Teacher at Fresno Christian of three years Aubri Foster loves the opportunity this event gives students to bond.
“This year, I hope the girls bonded over trying on dresses,” Foster said. “I also hope they realized that it is totally legit to borrow or even rent a dress! Last year, we had only 15 dresses. This year, we had almost 100 dresses, music, snacks, and there was so much laughter. I am a big fan of the laughter and love that I saw today!”
N.O.T.S. will take place at Wolf Lakes, March 30. To buy your tickets swing by Aubri Foster’s or Robert Foshee’s classroom.
