Due to weather restrictions, the game which had originally begun on Thursday, March 7, had to be rescheduled for today. The Eagles defeated the Fowler Redcats, 5-4. The team is competing in the West Sierra League Division 5 and currently holds an overall record of, 6-2.
First-year player Griffin Schmidt, ‘19, hopes to win valley championships with his teammates.
“My favorite part about tennis is serving and playing doubles,” Schmidt said. “This is my first year on the high school tennis team. I joined the tennis team because I enjoy the sport and was able to find a way to play both tennis and baseball. I am excited to see how we do as a team and hopefully bring the tennis program a valley championship.
The Eagles will host Riverdale High School in a match at the FCS tennis courts at 4 p.m., March 12.
