Seniors Angelica Escalera (right) and Alina Davila (left) sell Mexican corn at their booth ‘Esquite’ during the annual Econ Fair, March 13.
Robert Foshee’s civics and economics class participated in this activity in order to learn common business principles. In addition, participating students were able to learn about supply and demand in the marketplace. Some of the booths included in today’s event were, ‘All Tied Up’, ‘Buenos Nachos’, and ‘Four Seasons Cupcakes’.
Davila, ‘19, loved the opportunity the Econ Fair brought her class to have fun with a project.
“My favorite part of the Econ Fair was selling our Mexican corn,” Davila said. “I also loved looking around and seeing my whole class participating and having fun with this project. In addition to the fun, I learned that you have to be very responsible when you are selling a product.”
The class’ next unit will be focusing on supply and demand.
