Academic advisor Evangelina Tello speaks during the California Scholarship Federation club meeting, March 21.
The club meets on the first and third week of each month to discuss upcoming school related events. This meeting focused on the end of the year CSF senior banquet. In addition to gaining experience, volunteers will be able to include their service at the banquet in their mandatory hour log.
Freshman Maxwell Hinton, a first-year participant, loves the opportunity being in CSF gives him to serve the Fresno community.
“My favorite part about being in CSF is getting to go off campus to lunch with friends,” Hinton said. “It’s a great privilege to have and I’m lucky to be part of it. This semester I am looking forward to finding times to volunteer with my friends and make an impact around Fresno. It’s important for students to be involved in CSF because being a part of it can give you scholarship advantages and help you get into your desired college.”
The clubs next big project will be the CSF senior banquet.
