Max Hinton, ‘22, returns a serve from a Dos Palos player in his match, March 26. The FC boys tennis team defeated the Broncos, 9-0, in their home match.

This victory brought the Eagles overall record up to, 10-3. The team is competing in the West Sierra League Division 5 and will begin playoffs on, April 24. The tennis team is led by head coach Robert Foshee and assistant coach Daniel ‘Bulldog’ Jessing.

Hinton, a third-year participant, loves the opportunity tennis brings him to have fun with his friends.

“This season in tennis, I hope to learn how to properly play,” Hinton said. “In particular, I’d love to learn how to slice. My favorite part about being on the team is being able to have fun with friends. My consistency has definitely grown a lot this season and I’d love to gain better ball control.”

The Eagles will be traveling to Coalinga high school for their next match at 4 p.m., March 28.
