Seniors (left to right) Anthony Diaz, Ashley Zamarippa and James White turn in their senior portfolios, April 26.
English teacher, Andrea Donaghe assigned her students in English 12 and AP Language and Composition the task of completing a senior portfolio. Portfolios give students a way to showcase the work they have done throughout their high school career. In addition, portfolios give students the chance to create a resume and collect letters of recommendation.
Alina Davila, ’19, enjoyed the opportunity creating senior portfolios gave her to reflect on her high school career.
“One of the things I learned during making my senior portfolio was to reflect on all the things I have learned during high school. It made me look back on the things I have accomplished and what I have been able to be a part of. My favorite part about making the portfolios was seeing that I have accomplished things in high school. In addition, I’m glad that I now have a resume and will be able to get a job with a small amount of stress.”
The class of 2019 will be graduating on May 23. To see the ceremony, come to the Peoples Church main auditorium at 7 p.m., May 23.
