The class of 2019 graduates in the Peoples Church main auditorium, May 23.
Speaking at tonight’s ceremony is Clovis Police Chief Jerry Dyer. In his speech, Dyer encourages the graduating class to pursue the desires of God rather than their own.
“So the question we have to ask ourselves,” Dyer said. “Are we going to pursue our personal desires or God’s desire for our life? Whether that is choosing a college or choosing a career.”
Many different awards and scholarships are recognized during tonight’s ceremony including the California Scholarship Federation award. The recipient of this award is club President, Kamryn Schultz.
The senior class of 2019 will be attending colleges spread across six different states including Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and Pennsylvania. In addition, $2.1 million in scholarships were offered to this year’s graduating class.
