With the beginning of the 2019-’20 school year, Fresno Christian students reminisce on the many things they experienced during the summer of 2019. Students took part in a variety of activities, such as traveling, going to summer camps and even white water rafting.
The summer of ’19 lasted 80 days, slightly over two months. During that time, students visited countries including Brazil, Poland, England and France. Many students also had the opportunity to go on mission trips with their churches to locations including India, Vietnam and Mexico. Students also spent time away from home at Hume Lake Christian Camps and Sugar Pine Christian Camps, both located in California.
Maxwell Hinton, ’22, had the opportunity to travel to India over the summer with Cross City Christian Church. Having never been on a mission trip before, he appreciated the time it gave him to experience a different culture and be a witness to God’s love on the other side of the world.
“Getting to experience India was completely surreal, and it’s awesome to see what God is doing over there,” Hinton said. “The children come from the lowest of backrounds, but they are still so full of joy no matter their circumstance.”
