Fresno Christian’s 2019-20 fall sports teams are in full swing and athletes anticipate upcoming games pushing for a successful season. Fall sports, including football, girls tennis, and girls volleyball, participate in several different leagues.
Led by head coach Russ Counts, this year’s varsity football team looks for vengeance after falling short of a Valley Championship title last year with a loss to Mission Prep. The team competes in the CSL (Central Sierra League) 8-man division.
Varsity girls tennis, led by coach Daniel Jessing, is hoping to win the WSL (West Sierra League) Division – 5 championships. Last year, girls tennis got second place in the league, losing to Firebaugh in the semi-finals.
Girls Volleyball, led by coach Kit Maddox, is also aiming for an ESL (East Sierra League) Division- 5 championship title. Last year, volleyball was knocked out in the first playoff round by Kerman, but this year they are looking to win the championship.
