Support your Eagles in the Valley title game!
The FC girls soccer team defeats Roosevelt, 2-1, in the semi-finals of the CIF Central Section Division V playoffs, Feb. 19. This win allows Fresno Christian to host Kerman in the Valley championship game, Feb. 21, 6 p.m.
Girls soccer, led by coach Matthew Markarian, comes back strong after last year’s defeat in the Valley championship game. With the majority of the team remaining from last year, ladies look to take the title this year of East Sierra League (ESL) Division V Valley Champs.
Many players on the team have grown up on the field; team captain, Bekah Micu, ’20, gives insight on the importance of the crowd and what this sport means in her life.
“I love this sport so much,” Micu said. “Being able to share it with all these girls means a lot to me. Our fans really do motivate us, they do a lot more than they think. It is a big encouragement to see how many people come out and see how many people love and support us.”
Come out and support the team as they host Kerman on the FC north field for the East Sierra League Division V Valley Championship game, Feb. 21, 6 p.m.
The following video by senior Braden Bell sheds light on how players feel about the upcoming game.
