Fresno Christian high school leadership partners with the Central California Blood Center for a blood drive, April 21. Students and parents are welcome to donate!
Students, sixteen and older are eligible but must have a waiver with parent permission beforehand. Make sure to grab a permission slip upon arrival.

FC has performed blood drives in previous years. In fact, Fresno Christian had a special blood drive for Emily Krieghoff, ’09, who was involved in a critically damaged car accident.
Participating in the blood drive is one serve opportunity that helps save lives. Below are many reasons and facts about giving blood.
Reasons to donate:
- More than 75% of all Americans reaching age 72 will need blood in their lifetime
- 97% will have a loved one or friend who will need life-saving blood
- Every 2 seconds someone needs blood
- 1 in 7 people entering a hospital needs blood
- 40,000 pints of blood are needed every day
- one pint can save up to 3 lives
The CCBC will be stationed in the courtyard outside of the high school building. Be prepared for a physical screening to make sure you can donate.
Giving blood takes 3 easy steps:
1.) Sign up for a time slot using the link, SignUps.com, also remember to bring a physical photo ID
2.) Eat a healthy meal prior to donating
3.)Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated
