With the return of regular sports seasons, homecoming is officially back! Starting on Sept. 13 and ending on Friday night’s football game, Sept. 17, this week is packed with competition. Classes earn points through princess pageants, king and queen ceremonies, participation in dress up days, and floats. This year’s overall theme is “Homecoming for Humanity.” Each class votes on what charity they want to support then raises money for that cause until the football game. Before the game, the royal court will be introduced, then crowned at halftime.
Athletes vs. Mathletes
With homecoming week already halfway done, students and faculty wear athletic or nerdy clothes for ‘Athletes vs Mathletes.’ Most athletes wear favorite team jerseys or school sports uniforms, while mathletes don glasses and collared shirts.
Thursday’s dress up day is ‘Country vs Country Club,’ so wear western or preppy clothes.

Great Hairstyle Recall
The great hair recall comes to a close as Michael Fuller, football coach, gets ‘the hipster’ haircut by former secretary, Michelle Logan. Throughout the month, Students and faculty paid $5 to vote for a new haircut for Fuller. Through the ‘recall,’ Fuller raised over $500 for the football program. The top two leading hairstyles were a mullet and hipster fade comb-over. Other options included a faux hawk and classic crew.
This is senior Casey LaCroix’s forth year playing on the football team. He plays as a linebacker and tight end.
“I’m really excited on what the season has for me,” LaCroix said. “I’m really thankful I get to play unlike some other seniors in the past that didn’t get to play in their senior season. As far as are team and are chemistry is going pretty solid and better than in years past I expect we will do really great things this year.”
Brady Schwab, ‘23, is looking forward to the homecoming game and the rest of the season.
“We’re going against Alpaugh so it’s going to be a great game,” Schwab said. “It’s going to be a lot of fun but I think we can take the win for sure. We’re a solid team this year, we got a good passing and running game, good defense, I think we have a great shot at either playoffs or regular season games.”
