Over 90 elementary cheerleaders gather in their tutus to learn dances and routines from the high school team during ‘Fun Day,’ Sept. 30.
Elementary cheer clinic has been a tradition for almost 40 years.
Middle/High school cheer coach, Hope Villines has coached for eight years at FC.
“It has been an awesome turnout and so much fun!” Villines says. “This year, Fresno Christian cheer is raising funds for their local cheer competitions as well as the varsity cheer team’s trip to Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders National Cheer Competition in Orlando, FL in December.”
Senior, Isabella Hutcheson, has been on the HS cheer team all four of her high school years.
“I look forward to getting to know the kids and having them all remember us from previous years,” Hutcheson says, “With this many kids, I thought it would be hard for them to learn everything, but they are doing great! It can get a little crazy sometimes, but it’s always so much fun when we are all together!”
The clinic will be performing their routines during Friday’s Eagle Fest at 4:30 and the first two quarters and halftime of the home football game vs Orcutt on Saturday.
