As spring sports begin to start back up, winter sports wrap up with playoff matches. Both boys and girls basketball teams’ season shortly comes to a close.
On senior night, FC girls basketball defeats Kings Christian, 40-25, Feb. 8. But the team did not head to playoffs. This was the season finisher for the 2022 girls team.
The girls had a record of 7-3 in their East Sierra League which ranked them 2nd. Their seasons overall total was 12-10.
In their first game of playoffs, boys basketball is defeated by Liberty Ranchos, 74-66, Feb. 15, which was their last game.
The boys basketball team wraps up their season with a 10-0 record, 1st in the East Sierra League. Their season ended with a 15-15 overall score in the 2022 season.
One memorable moment for both teams was senior night, when the seniors were introduced with a giant spotlight as if they were celebrities on a red carpet. The 2022 basketball senior night has raised higher standards for senior nights in the future.
