Choral director, Susan Ainley prepares chamber and concert choirs for the 10th annual Disneyland trip, April 20-22.
Ainley’s students enjoyed a day of rides, food and fellowship on Thursday before gearing up and heading over to The Christ Cathedral for a choral clinic on Friday.
Junior Tally Ostrow has been in choir, directed under Ainley for six years.
“I love seeing the progress we make as a group each year,” Ostrow said, “My favorite part is meeting new people and bonding with my friends during trips.”
During the clinic, concert choir performed an array of songs such as Adoramus Te (We adore you, O Christ), Like a River in My Soul and Great is thy Faithfulness. While chamber choir sang Dominus Vobiscum (The Lord be with you), The Alberta Homesteader and My King is Coming Soon.
Soloists included Derek DeGroot, ‘22, David Tuck, ‘22 and Ellianna Gonzalez, ‘23, as well as a violin feature by Nyanza Williams, ‘22.
