Decades explores music through time
Music serves as a testament to the passage of time, always flowing and shifting, from the soulful sounds of Motown to the grungy music of the nineties to today’s modern tunes. In a combined commemoration of music, from the soulful sixties to the rocking nineties, Fresno Christian band is throwing a Decades concert.
Led By Lesley Bannister, Decades is the final performance of the year for the music department. To watch the concert, come to The Well Community Church North Campus, May 13 at 6:30 P.M.
Not only is this the last performance for band this year, but it will also be Bannister’s final curtain call with Fresno Christian.
Featuring students from 3rd to 12th grade, classic pieces from Backstreet Boys, Michael Jackson, and more will play.
Bannister enjoy teaching her classes about music of the decades.
“It’s just a fun way for the students to learn the popular history of music,” Bannister said. “So it was a fun semester, we spent a lot of time learning about all the different decades and genres and artists.”
Come to The Well on May 13 to catch band’s final performance!
