After ten months producing an online edition, The Feather staff will take a two-month sabbatical and anticipate next year?s staff. No new articles will appear until the new school year begins, August 14.
Although The Feather published the online paper daily, there are some who missed highlighted articles over the past year. The publications class was nominated for the second year in a row as a Pacemaker finalist. Even though the online edition did not win, this year?s staff broke a campus record for amount of articles released in one year. Over 430 articles were written to cover campus news, features, sports, reviews, opinions and columns.

Several experienced and new staff writers wrote articles featured on the National Edition, ranging from environmental issues to student profiles. This includes Marielle Desrosiers? Nov. 8, 2006, article, Ice skater pursues dream alone and Andrew Rurik?s Nov. 3, 2006, article, E-waste recycling mandatory.
Photographer Sophia Cook?s Dec. 18, 2006, music review, Former teacher opens for Bob Dylan also received national recognition. In addition to music the staff also reviews movies, TV shows, concerts and restaurants, such as Chelsea Joy April 19, 2007, article, Meet the Robinsons remakes CGI and Matthew Shattuck?s Sep. 1, 2006, article, Steak house simulates mountain atmosphere.
Besides reviews the other form of opinion articles the class releases are columns. These pieces mainly cover issues or either personal experiences. Kelly Gong?s Feb. 2, 2007, article, Midwest school adopts NOTS ideal features a campus traiditon influence throughout the country.
In addition to news, features and sports articles the paper features a monthly editorial like Teen ?wiring? limits analytic ability.
The staff welcomes and encourages submitted letters, stories, cartoons and other student feedback to the editor. For those not on the staff the Letter to the Editor section allows outside opinions to those willing to contribute, including Greg Witzky?s March 31, 2007, article, Thanks coach.
