The No. 1 seed Fresno Christian is defeated by the No. 2 seed Sierra High 50-44. This neck and neck game had students and fans holding their breath to the very end. Leading the game with a strong start, Eagles win the tipoff ball.
The self-proclaimed rivalry prompted students from both sides to campaign with homemade signs. An outstanding audience from the home team shouted chants, raised posters, and showed their support from the student section.
First quarter was led by Sierra 15-11. FCS Eagles took back momentum at halftime with a 27-23 point lead. Once again Sierra held their ground with a six point edge of 40-34. There were only two minutes left to go with a tied score of 42-42, the whole court was buzzing with energy from the crowds. The away team sealed the deal and secured a victory against the defending Eagles.
