PSAT
The PSAT will be administered on October 15 from 8-11:30 a.m. Students may sign up in the high school office with a $13 test payment.
PARKING PASSES
All vehicles parked by bldg. 6 and along FC gym must display FCHS parking permits. Beginning Monday, Sept. 22, any vehicles parked in these areas without a parking permit will be cited. A parking permit may be purchased from Mrs. Sargent for $10 per semester.
ADVENTURE P.E. MEETING
Students who signed up for Adventure P.E. surfing must attend a brief meeting on Thursday, Sept. 18, at lunch in Room 604. Permission slips, releases and the trip’s itinerary will be distributed.
COLLEGE INFO NIGHT
College Info Night will be offered on Monday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. in the J.J. Room. Information on college planning, applications and financial aid will be presented.
FIRST HOME FOOTBALL GAME
Class points will be awarded to students who attend the first home football game against Strathmore, Sept. 19, wearing Hawaiian- or beach-themed attire to complement the “Ride the Wave to Victory” athletic theme.
NIGHT RALLY
The first HS Night Rally will be at Woodward Park on Thursday, Sept. 18. Time TBA. Wear your class colors as points will be awarded.
FC HOMECOMING 2008
The homecoming theme for 2008 is “The Rhythm Is Gonna Get You.” The senior class’ color is black and their music genre is techno; the junior class’ color is hot pink and their genre is ’90s pop; the sophomore class’ color is purple and their genre is old-school rap; and the freshman class’ color is blue and their genre is bluegrass.
ADVENTURE P.E.
Adventure P. E. is back and will be taking students to surf on Sept. 26. If you are interested in learning to surf in Santa Cruz, sign up outside the office ASAP or with Scott Callisch. The group will be under the tutelage of Club-Ed Surfing School, and all necessary equipment will be provided. The cost is $45 and parent permission slip is required. ENTERTAINMENT BOOKS
Entertainment Books are one of the best fundraisers for your students and for the school. The cost is $25 and students can save up to 50% on restaurants, movies and activities.
After the sale of the first book, junior and senior high students can designate $7 per book sold to fund their school activities, such as sports, drama, band, choir and CSF.
For those who send 5 to 10 e-mails to their friends about the entertainment books, students can win a game download or a chance to win a Nintendo Wii.

HIGH SCHOOL PARKING
Until an announcement is made otherwise, all students may park in the parking lot by Building 6. However, the spaces against Building 6 are reserved for teachers.
