The concert will feature musicians in jazz band, band, ensemble and choir from both the junior high and high school.

EVANGEL HOME CONTRIBUTIONS NEEDED
A local women’s shelter, the Evangel Home, near downtown Fresno, is in need of food, clothes and gifts for the 20 children who live there. The homeless shelter has been in constant operation since 1955 and is feeling the economic pinch.

The Feather staff would like to organize a grocery gift card drive to help restock the program’s kitchen. Evangel volunteer organizer Joyce Williams reports low stock on a number of staples and necessities.

Those willing to donate a Save Mart gift card or an unwrapped gift, please contact Feather adviser Greg Stobbe or check the needs list in the computer lab. The Evangel Home’s annual Christmas party is Dec. 17 and donations should be in place before that date.

Williams can be reached at the Evangel Home at 559.493.8607 or e-mail Stobbe at [email protected].

FREE NOTS TICKETS
Attention all guys: student leadership will be awarding two free tickets to Night of the Stars to the person who asks in the cutest/most creative way. Only two weeks remain to purchase tickets.

PSAT RESULTS
PSAT results, including score sheets and test booklets, may be picked up from Molly Sargent in the high school office. Students must have a note from their parents giving permission to pick up the PSAT material or parents may pick the results up themselves. For more information or for questions, contact Sargent.

NIGHT OF THE STARS
Fresno Christian’s formal event, Night of the Stars (NOTS), will take place on Saturday evening, Jan. 24. Each class will make a movie which will be shown in chapel the week of Jan. 17-22. Tickets cost $50 and will be sold until Dec. 18.

During the formal event, photos will be taken before the dinner and an awards ceremony, similar to the Oscars, recognizing the winning movie, individuals, directors, etc., will take place. There will also be a non-school affiliated dance after the dinner and awards ceremony.

Any student attending the Night of the Stars must turn in a permission slip when they purchase their tickets. Permission slips were handed out in English classes.

Those who wish to bring a date who does not attend Fresno Christian must schedule an interview for the date with argent or Principal Jon Endicott.

SCRIP SAVES ON TUITION
Remember to purchase Scrip for your holiday shopping and giving. You will earn 2%-3% of all your purchases as a credit against your tuition. All gift cards are worth the face value of purchase; there are no hidden fees! Use your Save Mart Shares card (remember they must be activated within 6 months), and also purchase Save Mart Scrip and you will get a 4% credit on all that you spend! (Shares card use alone is 2%).
