Welcome back Fresno Christian! Students, staff and FC community gathered together for the first time in two years during the annual convocation, celebrating the opening of the 2024-25 school year, Aug. 7. 

Worship team leader Daniel Garrison along with an entire worship team of FC alumni kicked off the morning singing “This is Our God” by Phil Wickham. Other songs include “Holy Forever” by Bethel and “Same God” by Elevation Worship.

Principal Amy Deffenbacher welcomed back Kindergarten-12th grade students and families. After worship, Superintendent Jeremy Brown opened his message with the theme verse of the school year, Corinthians 13: 4-7. Wrapping up convocation, Bridge Church Pastor, Andrew Smith prays over students and staff for the start of the school year. 

Verse: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

This year FC welcomes over 30 new middle and high school students on campus as the wait list continues to grow.
