It’s officially Homecoming week at Fresno Christian High School (Oct. 7-11) and this year’s theme is “Family Game Night.” Congratulations to the court candidates for this years 39th annual event. The Feather would like to introduce you to the nominees voted in by their peers. Julia Castiglione, Mallory Friesen, Lyla Hinton, Milly Morgan and Rynna Silva are this year’s Senior Queen Candidates.
Julia Castiglione
Castiglione has attended Fresno Christian since the fifth grade. Her #1 adventure on her bucket list is taking photos all around Greece. Castiglione’s favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
1. If you had a million dollars, what would you buy?
A huge tank filled with all of my favorite food.
2. Personal hero?
My grandpa! He taught me the importance of hard work and family.
3. If you could have dinner with any person alive in the world today, who would it be? Why?
Tomas Edison, to hear about his process of making the lightbulb.
Mallory Friesen
If Mallory Friesen had a million dollars, she would buy a whole bunch of plane tickets to travel all around the world. Friesen’s personal hero is her mom, and she would describe herself as outgoing, supportive and adventurous.
1. If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Shapeshifting, because I could be really good at hide and seek.
2. If you could have one wish granted to you, what would it be?
To take all the sad dogs in dog shelters, and give them a happy home.
3. Hollywood crush?
Chad Michael Murray, but at his peak.
Lyla Hinton
Hinton has attended Fresno Christian since kindergarten. If Hinton could sing a duet with anyone, it would be John Mayer. Her favorite fast food restaurant is In-N-Out.
1. What is your favorite board game?
Spicy uno.
2. #1 on your adventure bucket list?
To see the Northern Lights.
3. If you could have one high school do over, what would that be?
I would’ve taken history with Foshee, and not online over the summer.
Milly Morgan
Morgan’s favorite bible verse is 1 Timothy 4:12, “ Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” Morgan’s favorite board games are telesrations and pie face, her Hollywood crushes are Austin Butler and Charles Leclerc.
1. Would you rather sing or dance in front of people? Why?
I would rather dance because I like to get down!
2. How many children would you like to have someday?
I would like to have around four kids… preferably all boys.
3. If you could have dinner with any person alive in the world today, who would it be? Why?
I would want to have dinner with my great grandparents, because I would want to meet them and talk with them.
Rynna Silva
Silva has attended Fresno Christian since the third grade and she would describe herself as funny, confident and feisty. If she could have one high school do over, it would be to hang out with friends more.
1. If you could eat only 1 fast food restaurant for life… where?
Sonic.
2. If you could sing a duet with anyone, who would it be?
Zoe Blanchfield.
3. If you could have one wish granted to you, what would it be?
To be a mermaid or cheer at FSU.
FCS 39th Annual Homecoming takes place Oct. 11 with gates opening at 6 p.m. Princess introductions will be at 6:30 p.m. and football kicks off at 7 p.m. Royal court will be officially announced during half time. Come enjoy the class floats, concessions and the community of FCS.
