Dues are $5, and be sure to attach a copy of your spring 2010 grades to the application. See Mrs. Sargent if you have questions.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
Back to School Night is scheduled for Aug. 23. For parents of students who are enrolled in grades 7-12, the event begins in the Fresno Christian gym at 7 p.m.

PICTURE DAY, AUG. 26
Picture day for grades 7-11 will be Thursday, Aug. 26. Pictures will start at 8 a.m. and will be taken by Milne Photography. It is recommended by the photographer that students wear dark-colored shirts so as to show up better in the pictures.

YEARBOOK MEMBERS NEEDED
The school is looking for members for the high school yearbook staff. All positions are open. You do not need to be in the class to join. Please see Mrs. Mendoza in Room 602 for details.

COLOR GUARD SIGNUPS
This season’s band and color guard are looking for new faces. No experience is needed. They will work with your schedule. If interested, contact Mr. Ogdon in the Music Suite or Ms. Miranda for more information.

PARKING PASSES
Parking passes for the high school lot are now available. In order to obtain yours, first get the parking pass form from Mrs. Sargent. Fill it out, then take it to Mrs. Regnerus in the high school office with the $10 semester fee and your California driver’s license.

You will not be issued a pass if you do not show your license when turning in the form and money. Students with parking passes may park in the main Alluvial lot and in the slots adjacent to the gym. Starting Aug. 30, vehicles that do not have a parking pass will be cited and possibly towed.

PSAT SIGN-UPS
The Preliminary SAT (PSAT), produced by the College Board, will be administered at school. The cost to register is $13, and the last day to sign up is Friday, Aug. 27. If interested, register with Mrs. Regnerus in the high school office.

The school encourages every freshman, sophomore and junior to take it. Juniors who do well on the exam may be eligible for scholarship money.

BROTHER TO BROTHER
Senior and junior guys interested in being a Big Brother to a junior high boy must come to an informational meeting in Room 629 on Friday during lunch. This meeting will tell you more about the program and give you a chance to ask questions or even sign up. If you need information before then, please talk to Mr. Richards (Room 629).
