Fresno Christian’s 42nd annual Spring Auction and Benefit Dinner is just around the corner! The auction will be held on the digital platform 32auctions from March 7-12. The benefit dinner will be held at 6 p.m. on March 14 at Wolf Lakes Park. The Spring Benefit Dinner is a school tradition and is known for a night of fun, including events such as lighthearted bidding wars, the anticipation of the raffle drawing, a heads-or-tails game for a larger prize and a live auction of elementary school class projects.
From now until March 3, Fresno Christian is accepting donations for the auction and selling tables or tickets for the benefit dinner. Individual tickets cost $150, while premium table prices are $10,000. All who plan on attending must RSVP no later than March 6.

NOW accepting donations: Auction donations can be brought to the Central Office, upstairs in the elementary building. Please fill out a donation form and attach it to each item.
Donations are welcome and encouraged, as they will benefit the school as a whole. All donations must be turned in to the FCS Central Office by March 3. The school offers incentives to promote active participation by both students and parents.
Donations can be in the form of money or fun items such as gift cards, trips and event tickets. In past years, highly coveted items have included FCS parking spots, cabin stays, spa packages and even Apple devices. Homemade desserts are also popular amongst the benefit dinner attendees, which is a simple way for high school students to contribute. It has even been mentioned that there are puppies up for auction this year as well!
The Directors of the Auction Committee have been working diligently throughout the school year to plan the auction and benefit dinner to ensure that it is an enjoyable experience for everyone. This involves constant meetings, coordinating vendors and finding fun ways to incentivize donations. Sharon King, one of the directors, encourages students to get involved in any way they can.
“Some of the elementary students make a small craft that is a part of the centerpieces, leadership sells raffle tickets and all students are encouraged to get involved by donating items for the auction,” King said.
The adults-only benefit dinner is filled with friendly competition and lots of laughs. King shares that the benefit dinner at Wolf Lakes Park is a highlight of the year for the Fresno Christian community as it allows the parents to bond and enjoy themselves.
“There are often people caught in a bidding war over some of the highly sought out items!” King said. “With the benefit being held at Wolf Lakes the last couple of years, we also offer boat rides.”
Fresno Christian, as a private school, does not have the benefit of state funding. As this is Fresno Christian’s largest fundraiser, every donation is appreciated. The school is hoping to raise $300,000 from the auction and benefit dinner.
“We like to aim high, pray about it and watch the Lord provide!” King said.
Don’t forget to donate and join Fresno Christian for a fun night of school spirit and community!
