A fragrance of Spring is in the air as the annual cherry blossom trees start to appear. They have been around for 36 colorful years. The first ever blossom festival was in 1935 to celebrate the trees’ beauty. The seasonal trees stretch over nearly 70 miles of land with a variety of pink and white complexions. They are a great and popular area for photography or photo shoots. The trails are open to the public and tourists as long as they are treated with respect.
The blossoms start appearing at the end of February until the end of May. An ideal time to visit is in April when the flowers have fully bloomed. The kind of produce made by the cherry blossoms include almonds, plums, apricots, peaches, apples, oranges and lemons. This happens a few months after the flowers have sprouted and are turned into fruit.
A big hit is the Blossom Trail Cafe, also known as, “The Cafe in the Middle of Nowhere.” It has been around for 47 years and is located right next to the cherry blossom trails.

“It’s one of those photos that’s very unique to this area. This type of location doesn’t exist in most places, plus it’s only here for a couple weeks each year so it never really gets old.”
