Local theaters stage new and classic productions
Spring shows draw young and old

From high school productions to professional theatrical shows, curtains lift at local theaters, revealing a diversity of shows from historical dramas to romantic comedies. Central Valley viewers have lots of options for live theater entertainment this Spring. 

High School:

      -“The Odd Couple” will be performed on April 2-5, 7:30 p.m. at Space 702 on the Clovis North campus. ($10-$12)

      -“Eurydice” will be performed on May 1-10, 7:00 p.m. at Dan Pessano Theater. ($10-$12)

      -“Sound of Music” will be performed on May 1-4 at Redemption Bible Church. (TBD)

Other Shows:

-“Waitress”: Waitress will be performed from March 21 to May 18 at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater. ($79) 

Waitress tells the story of a talented pie maker trapped in her small town and unhappy marriage. But when a baking contest offers her an out to reclaim her identity, her fellow waitress comes together to support her.

“1776”: Will be performed on May 23 to July 20 at Roger Rocka’s Theater. ($79)

A dramatized second congressional deliberations in 1776, following John in leading up to the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

  -“Silent Sky”: Will be performed on May 2 to June 22 at the Second Space Theater ($30)

A comedic fictional following a 20th-century overlooked female astronomer whose groundbreaking work changes the way we perceive and understand the universe.

-“Six”: Will be performed on April 1-6 at the Saroyan Theatre. ($59-$215) 

In a modern retelling, “Six” brings to life the stories of Henry VIII’s “Six” wives in the form of a singing competition.

-“Tina Turner Musical”: Will be performed on May 12-13 at the Sayoran Theater. ($49-$167)

Music by Tina Turner will be performed in this telling of her life from humble beginnings to rock stardom.
