The Lady Eagles soar further in post-season play than expected, competing in the CIF NorthCal State Soccer Championships. In the NWSC league, the girls went 9-0, coming out ranked first. In the second round of Div IV playoffs, the girls’ close game came down to Kennedy Wyatt, ‘25. Making three goals in one game pushed the team to advance to Semi finals. The Div IV championships against Porterville, ending in a championship 6-0 on Feb, 27. The girls moved on to play in the state playoffs. Each game in playoffs ended in a close score, advancing the girls to the state championships.
At the State Championships vs Sacred Heart Prep (Gators), the whole game was close. Sacred Heart Prep scored first and then Meghan Connolly, ‘26, scored the second goal, sending them into halftime. Abigail Herren, ‘25, scored another goal in a penalty kick after halftime, moving the Eagles into the lead. The Gators scored another goal, tying the game. In the last three minutes of the game, Sacred Heart scored one more goal, ending the game 2-3. The Eagles still finished second in the North State Championships and rounded out a history-making season.
