CJSF APPLICATIONS
All junior high students:California Junior Scholarship Federation applications may be picked up in room 628 beginning Jan. 6. Fill in your grades and return them to Mrs. Belmont by 3:05 on Jan. 16. Requirements are on the application and the junior high bulletin board.
CSF APPLICATIONS
Students who are interested in joining California Scholarship Federation must complete an application with a copy of their current transcript and the application fee of $5 attached to the back. Qualifications are based on grades from last semester. Freshmen students are encouraged to apply. Applications can be picked up from Vickey Belmont in the HS office and turned into her as well. The deadline is Wednesday, Jan. 21 by the end of the day. No applications will be accepted after this time! Even if you were a CSF member last semester, you must still complete an application form for the spring semester.

JH and HS winter sport pictures are in the athletic office and may be picked up during break, lunch or after school.
VALERIE PLAME
Valerie Plame, a covert CIA agent, will be speaking next week on Jan. 21 at the William Saroyan Theatre at 10:30 a.m. Her position was revealed to several national journalists by the State Department officials. Her story was made into an autobiography titled Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House. The story was made into a movie in 2010 starring Sean Penn.

CSPA HONORS FEATHER WITH DIGITAL CROWN, Nov. 10
For the 7th year in a row, the Columbia Scholastic Press Association at Columbia University in New York City, has honored The Feather Online with one of 14 Digital Media Crowns as the best examples of scholastic media in the United States. The campus paper is assured of at least a Silver Crown and will be awarded either that or a Gold Crown at CSPA’s 91st annual Spring Scholastic Convention, March 18-20, 2015. Over 1,400 digital newspapers were eligible for the award which honors the top papers in the country, regardless of size, division or state. More information will follow in the months to come.
CREATIVE WRITING CLUB
If you enjoy writing, the Creative Writing club meets in room 603 every Monday during lunch. This club is available to JH and HS.
COLLEGE TRIP
Students who are interested in attending the college trip are able sign up with Vickey Belmont in the HS office. The trip is scheduled for March 3-4 and we will be visiting USC, UC Riverside, Cal Baptist University, and Azusa Pacific University. This trip will be made available to CSF members in grades 10-12 in good academic standing at the time of the trip. Other 11th and 12th grade students with a 3.5 GPA or higher are qualified to go. The cost of the trip will be approximately $100 per student, but the money is not due at this point. Please do not sign up unless you are fairly cetain you will be able to attend. More information will be announced soon.
SPORT EVENTS DRESSCODE
All school students must be in dress code at all school sports events, both on campus and at away games. Students who are out of dress code will be asked to change clothes and may be required to leave the event if they are unable to comply.

Lunches may now be selected online. Go to the Fresno Christian website, select Campus News, and scroll down until the lunch menu is visible. Under the menu the option “Submit your lunch request” will appear. You may then select what you want for lunch!

Stuff Mart, the student store, is open every day during the 10 minute break. It is located at the south end of the top floor in building six. Snacks and some school supplies are available for a nominal cost.
