The phrase ’50s-style fast food chain with classic burgers, fries, and onion rings’ brings to mind a certain restaurant that most Fresno natives drive past every day.
While In-N-Out is the typical diner for most looking for the classics, those tired of a small menu should consider the Colorado Grill.
Located on Herndon and Blackstone in Fresno and Willow and Barstow in Clovis, the Colorado Grill is famous for their many options, including simple burgers as well as fresh options like turkey burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, hot dogs and chili.
With red-leathered chairs and booths, formica gray tables and a jukebox pounding out some Beach Boys hits, it is not surprising that the Grill seemed to send me back in time. Though the decor is typical of any other 50s-themed restaurant, the booths and pictures of vintage cars and Oldies groups offered a comfortable atmosphere.

I love seeing everyone in their pajamas! It was so comfy to come in pjs than in jeans.
