Marshmallows roasting over an open fire crackle as they become soft and warm. The aroma of melting chocolate combined with the woodsy air entices campers’ taste buds while the crunch of graham crackers satisfies their appetites.
Many campers look forward to relaxing and eating s?mores, a traditional camping snack, during vacations to the great outdoors. However, if cold weather or rain prevents the chance of an excursion, s’mores enthusiasts need only follow this alternative recipe to prepare s’mores pops from the comfort of their homes.
First, gather the ingredients and materials:
1 bag of large marshmallows
1 bag of chocolate chips
1 box of graham crackers
Toothpicks
Wax paper
Crush graham crackers in a plastic bag into fine crumbs and place them in a bowl. Then, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave (30 seconds at a time until desired) or on the stove (medium temperature), then stir until smooth.
While the chocolate melts, stick a toothpick through all of the marshmallows. If desired, heat them in the microwave for 20 seconds until warm and chewy.
When the chocolate is thoroughly melted, submerge the marshmallows in the chocolate until desirably covered. Dip the chocolate-covered portion of the marshmallows into the graham cracker crumbs and place the s’mores pops on a piece of wax paper to dry before eating them.

I loved how the teachers, and especially Mr. Stobbe; he had such spirit today. Mr. Stobbe popped into our classroom and gave a hearty “Merry Christmas!” Most of the students are normally enthusiastic, but it was fun to see the teachers excited!
