As an ordinary decoration, ribbons are used by many people all over the world. With different shapes, sizes and colors, ribbons offer endless varieties. Using a ribbon, which can be made through simple steps, you might have a chance to make something look more splendid.
For a slideshow displaying the steps in this article, click the “View Slideshow” link above the sharing options.
The following materials are needed: a rolled ribbon, a pair of scissors, a glue gun with glue sticks, strings and something to decorate with ribbon.
First, take a rolled ribbon out and cut it off. The length of it affects the shape and size of the outcome at the end; do not make it too short.
Next, fold the ribbon in half and apply glue to the ends. After this step, you will end up with a ribbon ring.
Then, pinch the middle of the ring and wrap it using a string. Take a rolled ribbon again, and cut it off shortly to wrap around the string.
Lastly, attach it to something using a glue gun. For example, there are plain hairpins, hair bands, and you can also add it to birthday cards or anything else to add style. It is that easy to create a ribbon.
