With the conclusion of the 2001-2002 school year, one of the most productive years in the history of the Fresno Christian Feather has ended.
Over the past nine months alone, Greg Stobbe’s journalism class has produced 300 articles about campus life and six print editions of The Feather.
Though new articles will not be placed online during the summer recess, The Feather’s website still provides valuable resources and information.
Articles published in late May or early June will remain running until the start of school in August, and previously published articles can still be accessed via The Feather’s archiving system.
Finding the article you are looking for in the system is easy thanks to The Feather’s search engine.
Typing a word or phrase in the text field on the upper right-hand corner of The Feather’s homepage will show articles containing the search terms.
For example, if one wanted to look for articles about dress code, the simplest method of searching is to go to The Feather’s homepage at www.thefeather.com and type “dress code” in the search field in the upper left-hand corner of the page.
After hitting the search button a list of articles containing the search terms will be displayed. As with any search engine, if at first what you are looking for is not displayed, try again with different words or phrases.
Another way to view the archives is by viewing articles by a certain author. This can be accomplished by going to the “About Us” link on the top of the homepage (the link second from the right), and then clicking on the “show articles by” link next to a staff member’s name.
Classes resume August 19, and articles by the new staff should begin running within a week.
