Moral and societal norms change. Ours certainly are progressing for the worse. Daily people become more lenient and tolerant of things that, by any logical standard, represent horrible morals.
So, since what we deem as acceptable continuously changes for the worse one must question: Will it ever stop? Will there eventually be a stagnant moral and societal norm? Or, will we continue on this downhill progression until it becomes the ultimate pitfall of our society?
We live in a time when our politicians and leaders care so much about themselves, their re-election campaigns and earning the support of special interest groups that they throw private citizens under the bus, in ways such as starving farmers of their water.
It is deemed wrong to utilize harsh interrogation tactics on confirmed terrorists responsible for the loss of human life, but stabbing an 8-month-old fetus in the back of the head because the mother no longer wishes to have a child, is acceptable. We (as a whole) do not posses the guts to punish and deal with the guilty, but we rarely think twice about terminating the innocent.
America is falling from its position as a beacon of light in a dark evil world. It made us different. But as time progresses we loose our title of ‘the greatest nation in the world’ more and more.
We, as a nation, respected the Almighty and credited our greatness to Him. Now we (again, collective) fight to take Him from our schools, courts, government offices and soon from public in general. Lawyers fight constantly before our courts to rid our great nation of any trace of God under the guise of protecting the First Amendment.
Now imagine if we, as God- fearing individuals simply : said ‘No’ to abortion; said ‘No’ to irrational politicians and said ‘No’ to the ACLU.
What if we fought to take back our society with half the passion that we defend everyday things? Instead of projecting ‘Info 2 Islam’ our city busses advertised ‘Info about Christ’. That we possessed the power to impeach or recall self serving politicians and insure that they never hold a public office again.
Imagine that instead of settling for a candidate who is simply the ‘lesser of two evils’, we, as the Christian majority in this nation, fought for a candidate who gives honor where honor is due, and will fight for laws and statutes that reflect our Lord.
How different would our nation be?
