Take two: Experiments in photography

This is the second in the series of Experiments in photography features.

For the past couple of months, I have continued my experiments in photo shoots, but also taking pictures of things other than people. These “things” might include random power-lines and railroad tracks. I often carry my camera around in my backpack or purse just in case there is an opportunity to snap a few photos throughout my day.

Over Christmas break, I was able to spend some time with my friend Kelsey Gunner, ’11, going through pictures we have taken in the past, and creating ideas for new ones. I was also given the chance to take pictures of the child of a close family-friend during a family Christmas celebration.

I plan on taking more pictures and arranging more photo shoots with friends in the weeks to come. I appreciate the art of photography more and more with each picture I take, and I hope to continue in this hobby for years to come.
