Dear editor:
My opinion on non-believers’ input on Christians should jolt us into thinking about how we are reflecting Christ to others. I am referring to the Feb. 12 article, “Life through a tinted lens” by The Feather staff, Feb. 12, 2010.
I acknowledge the fact that, as Christians, our job is to effectively communicate and show Jesus Christ in our everyday walk. However God also wants us to look deeply within ourselves before we can start leading others to Him. When we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we started carrying God’s name.
I admit that not all non-believers will accept us; nor will they agree with our belief. Some may slander what we stand for because they do not understand it. Nevertheless, we must “…Love each other as God has loved us” (John 15:11-12) by displaying our faith.
The article “Life through a tinted lens” was very enlightening and the cover art extraordinary. The Feather staff’s writing shows concern and encouragement to the reader as much as fearlessness to talk about a difficult subject.
Thank you Feather staff for all your hard work. I appreciate and cherish your words.
