Though this was my first time giving blood, I wasn’t nervous in the least. From 4th to 9th grade, I had to get three allergy shots every week, and these shots hurt more than the needle they used to take out my blood. I was use to people poking needles in me.
I think it was a great experience. After I gave blood, I did not feel weak or tired. It also felt great to know that I was doing my part to help someone else who might need my blood in the future.
Besides the joy of helping someone in need, I also got free snacks, stickers and a t-shirt. I don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t give blood. I will definitely give blood again.
